Forum FeaturesThe Florida Food Forum is an online, interactive series that enables Florida food system experts, community advocates, and residents to discuss emerging issues that impact food. It is currently the only type of webinar in the state of Florida that touches a wide-range of food-related topics such as food justice, technology and agriculture, food access, urban planning and food policy. |
Forum Topics | Forum TypesMonthly Forums Forums are 1 hour-long, interactive webinars with topics ranging from “Food Politics: The Role of Food Policy in the Food System” to “Food Waste and Food Banks” to “Women in the Food System. On average, 50 or more participants attend the monthly events. Special Sessions Special sessions of the forum are produced every few months to bring focus to pressing or trending topics. Recent special sessions focused on issues such as: “COVID-19 Impacts on the Florida Food System” and “Food Security and Food Justice.” On average more than 50 attendees attend these unique events. AccessibilityFlorida Food Forums are recorded and available for public viewing on FLFPC's YouTube channel from anywhere around the world. Florida Food Forum attendees include stakeholders throughout the food-system including growers, business owners, health professionals, professors and teachers, and consumers. Florida Food Forums are advertised through the FLFPC website and monthly newsletter, as well as through multiple online platforms including Eventbrite, Facebook, and LinkedIn. |
